Our Firsthand Look At How Concrete is Changing Construction

We studied concrete for a while. It was really hard.

OK, we get it. The world of concrete may have some punny jokes, but it also has a fascinating group of people who we had the opportunity to work with again at this year’s Tilt-Up Concrete Association’s annual convention, held in Tampa, Florida. Tilt Up is a type of concrete construction that turns the formative material into efficient walls used for buildings.

We saw the latest and greatest when it comes to concrete, but we also met some great folks working hard to create needed infrastructure around America. We may take it for granted when walking down the sidewalks each day, but concrete is a cost-effective method for quicker building construction that’s becoming more popular on jobsites everywhere.

It’s also quick setting, which makes us wonder how to start a race between concrete slabs. Does it just start with: “Ready, set …” ?
