When Life Throws Lemons Your Way… You Better Race ‘Em

Not every day can be sunshine and puppies. We were reminded of that last week when we traveled to the Pacific Northwest to photograph another 24 Hours of Lemons race and were snowed on, rained on, hailed on, and generally speaking, wetted on. As a matter of fact, we’re still thawing out from Washington in April.

But one thing the weather couldn’t dampen? The mood and spirit of the racers. Sure, the sun poked its head out from time to time, but we were never short of finding sunny attitudes. As the weekend wore on, and the cars predictably had issues, the same enthusiastic spirit became infectious. It was harder to have a bad time in the rain.

And our takeaway was purely positive. When life (or weather) hands you lemons, race ‘em.
